The Elite STARS will be hosting tryouts for our dance teams on Friday, December 19 @ 7pm at Gymkhana and again on Saturday, December 20 @ noon at Gymkhana.
Athletes interested in participating on the 2015 Elite STARS Dance Team will need to attend the tryouts to determine placement for teams.

The STARS will be hosting 2, if not 3 competitive teams this upcoming season.1= Elite team (5-8 dancers)
1 or 2 competitive teams (will be determined by the number of dancers trying out)

The ELITE team will practice on a separate day from the other teams--
ELITE team dancers are allowed to compete for multiple teams; therefore, an elite team dancer can be on 2 teams & compete for 2 teams.
(Please understand this will be a bigger financial and time commitment as well if you were to do this)

Dancers should be dressed in all black (top & bottoms) with dance shoes for tryouts.  If you are new to our dance program and do not have shoes at this time that is fine; however, you will be required to purchase them once you make a team.  Dancers should have their hair pulled tightly off their faces as well. Arrive 15 minutes early so we can begin the tryout on time.

Our schedule is as follows:
There is a competition commitment form that must be completed and turned in the day of the tryout.

(If you are considering the ELITE team you must be available for 90% of the competitions so that we meet the small group number requirements)

March 27-29            Applause Dance Competition

April 10-12               Rainbow Dance Competition

May 8-9                    Conant/Elk Grove HS Shows

May 15-17                Starpower Dance Competition

Our staff prepared an unbelievable camp filled with intense workouts, crazy activities, and plenty of sweat.
We provided an exceptional coaching staff, filled with certified professionals in all of our sports: gymnastics, cheerleading, skating, and dance as well as fitness specialists.
This year's camp offered a fitness and sport specific track to improve core strength, fitness, tumbling and stunting.
All athletes were given an opportunity to improve themselves over the course of the week, while having a great time achieving new highs. They were all able to maximize potential and develop skills appropriate for all aspects of life. We worked on social development, goal setting, confidence, body awareness, fitness, nutrition, decision making and individual skill development. Each athlete was offered the chance to step outside of the normal scope of training and experience an extensive ELITE training program.
The 'NEW ELITE STARS Strength & Power Team" will be the first
Special Needs "strong man" team in the country.

On Saturday, April 21, 2012, the Elite STARS Dance Team comprised of special needs dancers took the stage for their first competition of the season at Northside Preparatory High School in Chicago.  Receiving 1 of the 3 "Spirit Awards" from the judges, the team soared.  The team received the "High Score" in their division, "Judges Top 5 Award" and an amazing standing ovation from a packed venue.  Following the awards ceremony the STARS were approached by the girls from "Dance Moms" Abby Lee Dance Studio to take pictures.  "Dance Moms" is a reality show on Life Time TV. The show was being filmed during the competition and will be utilizing various clips from the days' performances.  The Abby Lee Dancers Tweeted about their meet and greet with the STARS and drew thousands of followers for our program.  Congratulations to all the STARS dancers and their coaches on a great showing or their first major competition.
